Standing Committee for Local Ecumenism

The Standing Committee for Local Ecumenism has responsibility for developing the vision, direction and review of the SACC Core Purpose Priority 2:  Conversations to advance Christian Unity and to deepen the churches place in culture and society.

The Standing Committee will, therefore, ensure that SACC

various conversations to assist people in churches (e.g. congregations, parishes, church agencies, schools and ecumenical organisations) to explore and discover - through a reading of the signs of the times - opportunities for more visible expressions of Christian unity.

As the other Priorities of SACC will weave through the work, and it encourages conversations between the Standing Committees and other bodies with a view to action together.  A particular focus will be given to the Multi-Dimensional Covenant document of the NCCA.
